Why does my place smell?

Question:it smells musty. i live in an old building , how can i get rid of the stink? its a really weird smell

Answers:
You should have the inside of the walls checked for mold.
Some forms of mold that grows inside of walls can be fatal to your health and make you really sick.
Try cleaning the walls and painting them if you can or buy an Ionic Breeze to clean the air.
Lysol is really good for fighting odors so you can try that too.
Fabreeze is just delightful so you can try that too.
Good luck.

Clean the walls and floors with bleach. Get rid of the carpet. If there is an attic, check it for mold.
first stages of mold my friend either replace the rotting wood or seal the leak in the wall or live with the smell frebreze works to
try washing everything down with a light mixture of bleach and water. If that doesn't work try some baking soda and water.
Do you rent in this building where maitinance it included? If so I would let them know that the apt smells musty and they need to check for mold. It can be dangerous and a huge concern esp if you are renting and or buying!

You could always paint incase there were ppl who lived there before you and didnt keep the place up. They make scents that go into the paint and last quite awhile. Also clean the carpets. I would even hire a cleaning service to do a deep cleaning if you dont have the time or patience to do it your self!
try useing moth balls
