ant spray, ant bait. get rid of the crap in your apartment
use raid
Buy an ant eater they work just fine
i found that ortho home defense works really good on ants just spray all around the inside edges of you apartment and they should die
The cheapest way would be to buy ant traps at your local hardware store or a store like Target or Walmart. I have recently done the same and the traps work great! You get a pack of 8 traps for like $5.00. Can't beat that! Good luck!
get one of those ant foggers. it's like fumigating but only takes 3 hours. it works well for roaches too.
talk to them thats how you got rid of your friends
well there are many natural organic solutions which, i believe are bullsh*t! i tried rubbing cucumbers, garlic and chilli around the corners of my kitchen and all i succeeded in doing was making the place stink! this website said they hated cucumber and the ants were walking all over it! BAH!
I'll tell you what. I just went through this problem. I spent more in over the counter stuff and it never really worked. The best thing you can do is call an exterminator. I wish I would have just done that in the first place.
For a quick fix you can sprinkle curry powder in the places where they come in, such as under a door or window frame, or in drawers and shelves. Ants don't like it and will avoid it as much as possible, and it will buy you time to get some ant traps.
suck them up in the vaccum..haha thats what i do!
ant traps. Also you should make sure they are not termites. Go online and find a picture of the species and do research. Also make sure there is no crumbs or food laying around for them to eat. Otherwise they will tell their friends.
Ants don't care for mint or citrus, cloves or bay leaves, so think orange peel, peppermint tea, lemon juice, ground cloves, etc. If you can plant mint around the foundations of your home, you may deter them from entering. Vinegar has the same acid as citrus, so use it to clean with and ants won't feel welcome. (It probably erases or overpowers the odor trail other ants have left for them to follow.)

Clean bench tops and cupboards down really well, and then wipe down with a clean damp cloth that has a few drops of essential peppermint oil on it, you may need to apply a few drops of oil a couple of times.

Ants hate the smell of it and it is also environmentally friendly, and safe for humans and children, and no residue powders etc to clean up. And the big bonus is that the room smells fresh and minty. I also want to add that you can put the oil on a cotton ball after cleaning and put in the areas you have ants and that should help too...replace once the smell is gone.

I hope this was helpful,Good Luck! :)
Knock, knock .
Who's there?
It's Cinnamon, let me in!

Ground cinnamon, the ants hate the feeling of ground cinnamon on their sensitive little legs. To get rid of ants, sprinkle cinnamon liberally in their paths, they will leave.

Cinnamon is also good for people because when used in food, it gives a feeling of satiety, if you want that full feeling, sprinkle on food.
first make sure all of the sugar products are sealed so that you dont have to worry about them getting into them.. then clean everything and get some raid.
There are many possible solutions to the problem but first you have to figure out what kind of ants you have. If they are small black ants its really no big deal, theres a lot of possible solutions. The best are Ant traps, they all do generally the same thing whether you get them from Terro or Ortho, which is the ant takes the bait, brings it back to the hive and they eat it and die. Another solution which is relatively new is Ortho Home Defense Max, its great, you may have seen commercials for it. All you do is spray it on the bottom of all the walls in your apartment or house and it never hurts to put a little more in the areas that they are getting in near, Also if you can you would want to spray it outside around the edges of your apartment/house. This is much better than spot spray ant killers because is prevents them from coming in and also kills the ones that are inside already, it also prevents other pests like spiders.

Now, thats assuming that the ants are regular ants, if the ants are very large black ants, they might be carpenter ants. This isnt a really terrible thing except that they generally live in areas where there is some rotting wood nearby and they build their hives in it. If it turns out they are carpenter ants you would need to get special carpenter ant sprays since they are larger and more resistant to normal ant killers. Beyond that you would want to inspect your apartments surroundings to see if it might be some wood outside the apartment, or it could possibly be under the floor boards or in the walls, in that case the only real way to get rid of them is to use bug bombs or remove the wood that is causing the problem and spray the area to make sure that they dont come back again.

Hope that I helped and that I dont freak you out or anything!
You need to find out where they are living. They will have a home somewhere near where you are seeing them. I had to sit & watch one ant for a few minutes to find it. It was a small hole leading behind my baseboard. Once you find it there are several options. I poured bleach down the hole. You could also use raid or any other bug killer. Keep in mind that they can live underwater so just plain water will not do. There is a foam bug killer that works well. Once this is done you should block thier entrance to keep the ants that escaped from setting up shop there again. Also try wiping down the baseboards of your kitchen with apple cider vinegar or regular. They don't like the smell. As long as you do that each day they should stay away.
try spreading baby power around where u c them coming in.works for me
