Can you dig up Rasberry bushes and regrow them?

Question:

Answers:
Yes but they are fragile. Once disturbed. Wet the soil around the base of the bush then dig far away from the base. About a 6 inch diameter to avoid damage to as much root as possible. (Must keep roots wet Danielson.)( Sorry lol) At the relocation point, dig a hole about 8 inches in diameter. Wet it real good. put a small layer of potting soil on the bottom of the hole, dampen it. Put the bush in the hole and fill in the remaining area with potting soil. Keep well watered! I have had real good luck with plant stakes for friut plants. These are at Lowes and Homedepot. They are stakes made up of vitamin material. You hammer them into the base around the plant and they feed it.

Yes you can. I have had good success in digging up shoots and transplanting them. They seem to do well.
Raspberrie bushes conform to the rules of transplanting a rose bush. In your new site, dig your hole to fit the root structure and just above the crown (bulbous area). fill the hole with water. Let the water sit and seep into the dirt, if you leave it dry, the surrounding dirt will suck all the moisture out of your plant, when you put it in the ground. So the surrounding soil must be moist. Dig up your raspberry bush and move it to the new location. fill in the hole with good loamy soil with a bit of organic manuer for fertilizer. Mix well. water again. Make sure to trim any dead limbs from your bush, that also sucks energy from it trying to grow.
