Where can I get a black gothic style iron headboard from? Dont want the whole bed - just the headboard.?

Depending on where you live, there is a company in Lancashire called Howick Forge. They specialise in anything to do with Iron.
I have had gates made in Gothic style and they are excellent.
Just a suggestion, you could do the "Blue Peter" thing and buy a cheapy from argos, then modify yourself, but I guess you want the real thing?

What I find that works well IF you can find one is to get an older ornamental style iron gate and modify it and paint it to look the way you want..
try freecycle theres loads of stuff on there you never know
Buy a piece of MDF. a piece of leather, foam rubber. buttons,drill holes in MDF.cover with foam then cover with leather, sew through the holes to the leather thread on button and sew back through to back and tie off. Hey Presto a new headboard and cheap too then you can give yourself a clap on the back and show all your new beautiful headboard. just think if you make a good job now theres a good thing "make 'em 'n ebay 'em" Good luck.Bye
