Do you have a swimming pool at your home?
Question:We have three kids and we are trying to decide if we should buy a home with a pool. Any advice? Do you enjoy your pool and still use it? Has it become a hassle?

I love having a pool it depends on where you live. If you are planning on building it under trees, it will be more work because of all the leaves. I usually clean mine every day when it's open, but that's just cause I'm a clean freak. it's not that much work except for at the beginning of the year when you first open it it takes about a week to clean it out.
My neighbors have one and their problem is that they have two very small children (under 3) so they can't really play in their back yard except for when they are swimming. This means they have to play in the front yard where they have to contend with the street.
yes i have a 20 x 40 pool and it has been here for about 25 yrs and we still use it. It has been a good investment. The kids used it growing up the grandkids use it now and I wouldn't get rid of it for anything. Opening it and closing it are a hassle but if you stay on top of it and check the chlorine and ph levels every day and keep them where they are supposed to be they are not bad. I vaccum mine once a week and backwash it right after I get done with that,check my chlorine and ph once a day,and shock it after a big rain or a day there has been a whole lot of kids in it all day. thats it and it stays clear and clean all summer.
