Saaanen has almost everything that you need to do, except one. I always tell my customers to put any of the wheat, rice, and grain products in the freezer for three days before putting it in the plastic containers. Because many times you can not see the eggs or larvae in the items. Also check all of your dog/cat food/treats and any bird food or seed that you may have, Indian Meal Moths love them.
Also, I believe that many Do-It-Yourself pest control companies sell Indian Meal Moth traps. (I know professionals have them, so I would assume that consumers can get them.) Good luck to you!
Well if it is indian moth I suggest you either Do a sacred indian ritual or if they not that type of indians I suggest you meditate to texts of the Babaghad Gita to ask the great dramin to exterminate those beasts!
With a lot of time and patience.
1. Throw out anything open. The eggs are there.
2. Check all unopened boxes of rice, pasta, etc. They do get in them, too. If clear, put in plastic containers with lids.
3. Wash cupboards well. Any detergent will do. I vacuumed first to get webs and larvae.
4. Replace the stuff in the cupboards..
5. When you buy pasta, etc., put it in plastic containers, then put away.
6. Be aware. I have found webs in my ground chili peppers, cinnamon, and even a jar of peanut butter that had the lid screwed on tight.
Clear out the pantry and clean it with bleach. Put everything into the freezer for at least 24 hours before putting back in the pantry.
Whenever I buy flour, pasta, cereals and bird seed I put them into the freezer for 2 days before putting them into the cupboard. Dried fruits can also be a problem ... into the freezer they go.
