I'm loosing my mind!?

Question:My roommate is a filthy slob. I'm at my wits end. I don't mean just messy, but unsanitary, disgusting. I've talked to him many many times about it. I've separated my belongings from his so I can keep them clean, but there is food all over the floors, my kitchen and dining area smells like mold no matter what I do, there is piles and piles of pop and beer cans, and a stack of pizza boxes. and it's all filthy.

I'm not the neatest person, but I like to keep my living spaces sanitary even if there is some clothes on the floor and a bit of clutter, but I don't grow mold cultures!!
The fridge is splattered with spilled food, his room reeks, and the bathroom. I'm not even going to describe the bathroom.

I'm stressed out and not comfortable in my own home. Really I just needed to vent some, but if anyone has some good advice I'd appreciate it.

I've talked to him and he's agreed to try to keep it cleaner. I want to move out, but the lease isn't up for awhile, what can I do till then??

Answers:
I don't know the situation but can you kick him out?

Well, if you are stuck in the lease with him, there's not much you can do. Just try to find a way to compromise. Give him a chance to prove that he is serious about keeping things cleaner. Be careful about nagging, though, if he is trying.otherwise, he may see no point in trying and he'll fall back into being lazy again. Hopefully, you won't be stuck in the same house much longer!
