How do you get rid of gardner snakes with out killing them?

Question:

Answers:
try creating a lime barrier around your yard!

Why would you want to? They do a lot of work in the garden. Eat mice and other rodent that destroy it, plus sometimes they help keep cats from making a mess. If they scare you just make some noise before you start to weed, give them a sec to get out of your way. Blue
I have heard that the way to keep snakes away from your home is to cut the grass short near the house. That way they have nothing to hide in.
I dont know why you would want to they are completly harmless. They eat the bugs that eat desireable plants.Back during the black plague in urope people started killing all the snakes (the real problem was rats)that ate the rats and the problem got worse.Right Idea wrong animal.
Why would you want to get rid of garter snakes? They are good for your garden and yard. The only snakes you should try to get out of the yard, and don't kill them, are Rattlers, copperheads and cotton mouths (water moccasins). Garters eat bugs and small reptiles. Non poisonout snakes eat bugs when they are young and then turn to rodents (rats, chipmunks and things like that), they do no harm.
They are great for the yard. They kill rodents and pesky rats. If you still want to get rid of them, call the police. They will pick it up for you most likely. They did with me and my copperhead.
