Starting Bosch combo washer / drier... HELP?

Question:staying at a friends and have to wash the sheets this morning, but can't for the life of me figure out how to start their Bosch combo V696 washer / drier. I set up all the dials but there is no 'on' button and I can't pull the dials. So, the question is, how the heck do I start the thing?
