Can baby powder be used to kill ants?
Question:Someone told me to put baby powder on the ant bed I have in my yard. Does baby powder really kill ants?
Answers:
The below paragraph is an exerpt from the website listed below:
"All you need to do is figure out where the little buggers are coming in at, and sprinkle a baby powder firewall. Ants that are already in your house will lose their scent trail, get lost, and eventually die; ants that are trying to come into your house won't be able to crest the mountain of white."
Obviously ants cant stand the scent of baby powder, so I would guess that putting baby powder on an entire bed won't actually kill the ants...just relocate them!
There are other helpful tips at the site below for suggestions on how to kill ants!
dont know about that but i heard Cinnamon works
Yeah heard that to. Smething about it being so fine that is fucks with them a bit. try it.
Yes and so can dish soap. They stick to it and get stuck and then they die. Borax works too.
NO.. you could buy ant spray. cheap
no i dont think so...
but like everyone else said, try cinnamon or dish soap
but the best way would be to just but some kind of insect killing spray
It won't kill them but it may cause them to go elsewhere. There are some ground materials such as diatamaceous earth, found in pool supplies, that will kill/grind the larvae of gnats and other insects but not ants.
Your best bet is a perimeter spray of ant spray...and what the hay...slow them down with baby powder and a good book..to the thorax.
