Marker Stains on Wall and computer...HELP?

Question:My son got hold of a permanent marker...black. He dcided to go for writting spree on my computer hard drive and part of the wall. I cught him in enough time to prevent any further expression. I need to know how I can remove these stains. What can I use.I heard nail polish remover but I dont know...need some help.

Answers:
Nail polish remover (acetone) is much more than you need for this project. Rubbing alcohol will cut the marker without damaging the finish on your computer. It will fade the mark on your wall, but probably will not remove it completely, depending upon the type of paint that is there.

Magic Eraser will work a bit better on the wall, but it will leave a residue on the computer. Cleans of fairly easy, so no big deal if you decide to go that way.

oh no!!!! the magic eraser works likea charm! my mom and her friend who has 2 kids use and it works 4 the most part.
I would try nail polish remover with acetone on the hard drive and the Magic Eraser on the wall. I have 3 boys and have had to remove plenty of markings! Good luck.
u are right, nail polish remover is workable. have u got a thinner? don't know what u guys call it there but u can get it from paint shops, it's for removing paint. if all else fails, try rubbing lemon on it.
