you can pour boiling water onto their nest.
Try something called Ant stop it is a spray that you can get from DIY places it is about £5 a bottle but it did wonders for us
Have you tried a pest controller?
My brother is a pest control officer and has told me that getting rid of ants is seriously difficult. The ant queen lives for eight years - so you can imagine how many offspring she can produce. See if you local pest control department can provide you with something to at least keep them away from the house.
That depends. If the ants are invading your lawn and forming ant hills pour boiling water, salty water, or soapy water down the hill. If its inside your home, there is actually a nest somewhere and its probably inside a wall. If you can guess where, you can always plug the hole where they get out. If you want to make sure they are dead though, go out and buy some Raid Ant Poison. That should do the trick.
Get the outside of your house Sprayed with pesticides.
try using vinegar my mums house was full of them until i wiped the places they were coming from with vinegar.no more ants .good luck.
I had an ant problem a few years ago. I tried the usual stuff, pesticides, boiling water etc. I was very against using too many chemicals as I have a dog and children to consider, but no matter what I tried, they still returned.
Then I was told by an eco-warrior (honestly) that if I used a compost bin, placed about 10 to 15ft from the house, that will deter the ants from my home to the bin.
So, against my better judgement, i tried it. I was worried that the compost may smell, but surprisingly, it doesn't. And the ants? Thay are very happy in their new home, even helping to make the compost and don't bother me anymore.
