Is it true that putting your batteries in the freezer will make them last longer?

Question:

Answers:
As far as alkaline batteries go, most will freeze below about 10 degrees and this is not good for the battery, when they finally do thaw out they will usually explode or just not work any more that is why companies will recommend lithium batteries when being used in cold climates. The best place to store batteries is in a dry place and away from excessive heat or cold.
