Stainless steel cookware -- can I .?
Question:use metal spatulas and utensils with it, or will that somehow damage the cookware, like it would teflon?
Answers:
Stainless utensils will scratch nonstick pans in a way that makes them unusable. Stainless utensils will ALSO scratch stainless steel, but it scratches in a way that is only cosmetic. Your pans may have a dozen tiny marks in the bottoms, but you can continue to use them for a lifetime, scratched or not.
Besides, try deglazing a pan with a nylon spatula. Frustrating work! I'd go with stainless utensils..
although there is not a coating like teflon, metal utensils will make lots of small scratches in stainless steel.
No, it's great. It does get scratched a bit, but over time, the scratches make a nice patina. It cleans easily too, and you can scrub it with steel wool if you have to. No babying for stainless steel. I love it.
