How to loosen the soil in my lawn?
Question:I am trying to to do some maintance to my yard.. how do or what tools do I use to loosen the soil?
Answers:
Till or have it aerated. The plug type aerators are best but more expensive. To do it cheaply, drill cores in the soil and fill with mulch.
Try the Garden Claw.
Rent a Rototiller.
Go to your local, public golf course (Maintenance Shed) and ask one of the grounds keepers for advise. They do this for a living and should be able to provide some helpful information.
