How can I get rid of a dead animal smell?
Question:We found what we think is a possum in the basement..We think there might be some more. We can't seem to get rid of the smell..I bought some of that febreeze stuff and it doesn't really work..how can I get rid of the smell?

improve ventilation. like, putting electric fans near the window facing the outside and another fan on another window facing the inside.
put charcoal in a basin as many basins as you can and put it inside your basement. this will absorb smell.
but before all of these, know whats causing the odor and remove it.

Buy several boxes of baking soda and sprinkle is all over the smelly area. Or buy a box/jar of carpet deorderizer and sprinkle it.
