I recently had mice in my home and had poison put down. i havnt heard them for over a week now but there is?
Question:a terrible smell in the house.as i havnt been able to find any dead mice could the smell be them rotting maybe under the floorboards
Answers:
Do not bring a cat into the house!! You do not need to add cat spray to the list of smells in your house. And cat spray is a lot harder than a dead mouse smell to get rid of! TRUST ME!! I had a cat get under our house and spray and it took 3 YEARS for it to go away!! And everytime it rains I can still smell it a little.
As far as the mouse goes, I have too had this problem. There is really no way to find it unless you want to rip walls and floors out---which I am sure you do not! Just buy some scented candles and keep the smell masked until it goes away. And it will go away.it just takes time for the mouse to decompose--yes, very gross, but the truth. Once this happens there is no smell. Of course, you can keep the candle thing going because then your house will smell so pretty and its very romantic!
GOOD LUCK!!
Yes, that's exactly what it is. They're probably in the walls too.
Very possibly. This happened in our house when I was a child and it was a stinky nightmare.
Yes, that's it. It has died somewhere and is rotting. You have to find it, that's the only solution. Bring a cat into the house, it will sniff it out.
