Are there any noticeable benefits to adding "epson salt" to outdoor plants once in a while?

Question:for $2/per 5lb bag, it is certainly cheap enough

Answers:
The would depend on what kind of plant it is and what the chemical content of your soil is. If you add Epsom Salt to the soil around plants that don't need magnesium, or where there is already enough magnesium in the soil, you might wind up killing the plants.

Salt will kill your plants.
Epsom salt has always worked well for my azaleas.
Epsom salt is not the same as regular salt.It won't kill your plants. Check out the website below.
1 tbsp mixed in a gal of water, once a month

Plants use magnesium to make chlorophyll

For larger plants, 1 tbsp per foot

DO NOT use the Martha Stewart method of 2 cups per plant
This will make the soil very acidic
