Weeds & grass?
Question:I need a good weed and grass killer.
Answers:
If you want to kill all the vegetation in an area, Roundup (the active ingredient is Glyphosate) works well. Bear in mind that it is not a selective herbicide - it will kill or harm any plant it comes in contact with.
It is applied to the growing plant foliage - spraying it on bare soil will not prevent germination or growth. Be a bit patient, for it may take a week or so to see any effect.
One of the best things about Roundup is that the active ingredient breaks down quickly, allowing you to replant within a few days of application. If you want to keep weeds out of an area, it is more environmentally friendly to spray as needed with Roundup, which doesn't persist in the soil, rather than a soil sterilizer which poisons the soil for months and may enter the water table.
As with all pesticides, make sure you read and follow the label instructions and cautions exactly.
Good luck!
Hello. Do you want to kill grass and weeds? Then all you need to buy is a general weedkiller from your garden center. They will give you best advice. If however you just want to kill weeds near grass or plants etc, then your best product is called-' Roundup", which kills all weeds, but doesn't harm delicate plants. Good Luck!
