I have a compost bin but there seems to be a lot of ants in it..?

Question:Is this good or bad? Because isnt it worms you want in the bin and won't the ants eat the worms?? Could there even be a nest?? Help appreciated

Answers:
Don't need to use ant powder - think of the chemicals, a couple of kettles of boiling water will do the job quite satisfactorily.

looks like you have a nest of ants in there.it needs to go or they will take over your garden!,they are a pain and i am having trouble myself!
put ant powder in there
I don't think I'd worry about them, they're just after fruit peelings or something. They will be dispersed when you use your compost. They should co-exist with your worms.
ants wont hurt your compost, they are great farmers
