Where should i grow my spearmint plant?

Question:I bought a small plant today ad i am deciding whether to plant it in the ground in the backyard, or in a pot on the back porch. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

Spearmint just like peppermint likes to spread and does best in the ground in a sunny location. Though if you want to limit where it grows to, I would suggest that you frame the area you plant it in with sub-buried bricks(length wise). Like crab grass mint spreads just below the surface of the ground.
