What can I use in place of paint?
Question:Dorm rooms aren't allowed to be painted. Is there any kind of material I can just hang on the walls? I don't like living in a white room.

You can tack fabric on a wall.I have seen whole walls done in denim. A friend had purchased several denim items from a thrift store. She cut and tore them at the seams, pieced them and overlapped them over an entire wall. Sometimes you could tell it was Shirt or Jeans...but not always because the way she overlapped. She added certain details here and there...like her name in glitter down one leg.rhinestones, lace and ribbons as embellishments. At focal points, she hung mirrors and photos, even a bulletin board. It was really cool.
Can't think of much, Maybe wallpaper, there are many different pretty designs you can choose from.
Are you allowed to wall paper them? You could make a wall hanging with blankets, sheets, or other fabric. Wrap the fabric around a wooden dowel or PVC pipe; run a piece of string through it and hang it from the wall at the desired height.
Wall rugs. The ones with pictures on them, I see them sold on the streets all the time.
hang a nice quilt on the wall, or something similar
hang up Posters or colorfull wrapping paper(bot not the shiny glittery one, it looks to fake. also you could make youre own poster by gluing any cute things on it like pics, fake flowers, cute litle fake diamonds, stickers, colurfull paper or you can color it yourself!)
you could also make a wall/door of pictures. just hang up any of youre fav. pics on any of youre doors or walls
You could also hang up youre purses on the wall and make it look sheeq, vintage, funky . Its how you hang up the purses (it sounds crazy, but it looks totally cool!)
My sister took a white sheet and tye dyed it in college, and then just hung it up with thumb tacks and it covered 90% of her room.
Cheap, and it was kinda neat.
get a big card board, and color markers..and make up your daily and weekly,,\ things you have to do! also a few posters!!
