Describe your dream house?
Question:I want a log cabin with an entire wall of windows in front, giant living room with a loft office area, nice spacious kitchen 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a basement...hows about you?

Craftsman style 3br, 2 1/2ba, custom built with radiant heat floors, solar, finished basement, kitchen that opens into a sunroom big front porch and a detached 3 car garage.
Cabin in the woods - enough windows for natural light, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths kitchen, living room, fire place, root cellar. No power.
ooooohhh, let me see, it would have to be an apartment on 5th avenue in new york, the right hand wall would be completly glass wih an open floor plan, to the left of the glass wall would be a top of the range kitchen in white and red, facing you would be the living room in a choclate and turquise colour and black leather, it would be eco friendly with underfloor heating, wood pellet stove etc.
Well, firstly, to get to the house, you would have to navigate your way through a hedge maze (the house is in the centre).
I don't know about the house itself, but I've got most of the rooms in it planned out:
The entrance hallway will be a mirror maze (you now the ones) - to deter burgulars.
There'll be one room where everything is sidewards (like chairs coming out of the wall) - just to freak people out.
Naturally I will also have a complete velcro room - just for fun.
My bedroom will actually be a giant pit of foam - covered by a layer of that awesome fur (That those teddy bears you see sometimes that are so soft feeling that you just want to pat them for ever are made of) - I think as soon as I touched that 'bed' I would drop straight to sleep.
One room would be completely the same colour, furniture, walls, objects, everything. That would just be cool.
And (as the house would have to be at least several stories) there would be a spiral slide from top to bottom - with optional exits at each floor.
Yeah, so that's my plan so far. It will infact be the most genius house in the universe ... I just need to get my hands on the monies for it ...
I am lucky!! I live in a house now that's pretty close to my dream house. We have 3 kids... our house is 2 story, 2800 square feet. 4 Bedrooms, 3 baths, large kitchen, dining room and a room just for my "office". Its located on wooded property totaling 13 acres. Would like to add a home theater in basement, hot tub and voice recognizing for opening locks (my daughter can't keep a hold of her key!)

My dream house would be any house that is clean, neat and not filled with clutter and things that are rarely used. My motto now is "less is more."
My dream house would have drains that never clog, plumbing that never needs any repair, electric wiring that never has any problems - even when adding new fixtures, windows that close perfectly and never need washing, a dog that never sheds and a husband who never complains!
