How does a sani flo toilet work?

Question:does it run on electricity?

what if your electric goes off?

Answers:
Yes it's electric. If you lose power, then you can't use the toilet or anything else connected to it. You could connect to a UPS unit of suitable rating, 600 watts, for emergencies.

it has a electric pump and mulcher yuck! they aint bad
if your electrics go off so does your saniflo ..they operate on electricity only and they have a micro switch which when the water reaches a certain level it switches on the saniflo and the macerater blades in the saniflo breakes up the solids and it pumps it out through a small tube into the main drains
simple terms:- think of it as a large liquidizer.
that said, now stop thinking about it.
The waste is liquidised and then pumped out as a liquid instead of solid matter.
