Most effective way to get rid of a mouse in my house?
Question:I do not want to use mouse traps and have to manually remove it. What products are the best to use?
Answers:
If I read your Question correctly, you don't want to have to deal with emptying a mechanical mouse trap. Assuming you don't care whether the mouse lives or dies, you might try some of those sticky "walk-in" traps. They're sort of tunnel-shaped, and you place them along baseboards (where mice tend to walk). The flypaper-like adhesive inside will trap the mouse---the more he struggles, the more stuck he'll become. Then you just throw the entire thing away, mouse, trap and all.
A "catch-and-release" method I have heard of, but haven't tried, involves a large black umbrella. Yes, seriously.
When you know your mouse is in a particular room, you stand by in the room, with the umbrella. When the mouse begins to run, open the umbrella and hold it (curved side down) on the floor, creating a little ramp for the mouse to run into.
Apparently mice instinctively run towards dark places, and the black umbrella looks like a nice, dark corner. You can close up the umbrella, keeping the top pointing down, so the mouse can't escape. Then just bring him outside, and set him free. For best results, release him in your neighbor's yard.
get a cat.
I can't even answer this one with a straight face...lol
You have to remove it.no matter what product you use...it won't just go outside and die. LOL
i like talon
but if you want to repel it mix spearmint oil and peppermint oil 50-50 soak cotton ball in it and place in affected areas
Since you don't want to use mouse traps, I would assume Warfrin would be out of the question, so.I would go to the hardware store and purchase a live trap for it...very humane and you can let it free...of course it will probably come back into the house.

You will be surprised how easy this is.
First you have to be smarter then the mouse!
If a mouse is using your table or counter put a paper plate with a little peanut butter balanced and hanging half off the counter so the mouse has to go out to get the PB and set a 5 gal bucket underneath it put a few inches of water in it if you don't want to deal with a live mouse . The mouse and the plate will fall into the bucket.
They usually take the bait and Yahoo a new pet in your bucket hehe!!
Believe me it works well!
And if you have kids they think it's fun!!
Get a cat. There are mouse baits that contain warfarin which will make the little bugger bleed to death they work real well.
Get a good cat! males seem to do the best.
If you don't want to use a standard spring type mouse trap, there is another type on the market that is a shoe box sized metal box with a wind up spring that flings them into a compartment. Then you can either drown them, or you can release them into the wild (far from your house, as they WILL come back).
If you don't like that idea, there is another method. Set a cap full of Coke out along a baseboard. They can't resist the sweetness. They also can't burp or fart. The gas that is created makes their digestive system explode. It sounds cruel, but hey they are vermin after all. There is no mess to clean up, except for a dead mouse.
If that still doesn't thrill you, I have had success with this method; lay on a bed or couch, being completely still (reading a book works). Keep an eye out along the baseboards, as that is their preferred track most of the time. When you see the little critter shoot them with a dart gun. I am not kidding! It worked for me in college. A Kansas dorm infested with mice was a bountiful hunting ground. Of course you HAVE to be a good shot, and willing to deal with a not quite dead mouse too.
There are also those glue pads. But if you have pets, watch out. A cat with a glue strip stuck to it's tail can be quite upset.
Good luck, and happy hunting.
Use a Havahart trap. Please. It wont kill it, but it'll catch it, and you can release it far away from your home.
healthy cute fun happy way to do it get a cat X)
