If they're not on your property, there are no laws to stop it.

it depends what you mean by moved onto, if it is part of a house that is legally over the boundary line of your property , yes you can, you can also have a fence moved or torn down if it is on your property, to get the exact lines you will need to have a copy from your local council, that will show the boundary lines plus sewrage lines etc. however if it is just a foot or so legally challenging this could be very expensive.

If the land is owned by you then you can have them evicted off it but if the land is owned by them no but you can put up a high fence and shrubs which will make it more private

If the former they should have got planning permission - and you should have been able to register a complaint. If the second, it is unlikely unless they are causing a nuisance as defined by various other laws. You should speak to your local council to find out your rights.

I am trying to picture the scenario. Your neighbour is using council land that is just beyond your fence. Phone the council and say that vagrants are occuping their land at number xxx xxxxx road , they will be round very quick. Withhold your number.
