Does anybody know how to get rid of and prevent crickets from getting in the house?
Question:I sleep in the basement and I have a bug phobia and over the past week I've Tylexed about 6 crickets (literally sprayed them with Tylex). I've nearly given myself a migraine panicking over seeing them and I don't know whhat to do and would like them not to come back (or any bug for that matter). Can anybody help? Please?

Have you seen or heard of hedge apples. If you have, put them in your basement. Space them out about 10 ft. apart on the floor. That will keep the crickets away. You will need to change them about once a month.
Get a pet frog.
There are these plug-in devices that emit high frequency sound to keep pests away. See if they work for crickets.
My sister uses them cause she's an arachnophobe and they work pretty good.
