What kind of lemon tree do i have?


Question:i know this lemon as a Valley lemon from south Texas. it is green when it is ripe and grows to the size of maybe a valencia orange. it does turn yellow as it gets older on the tree, but that is when the fruit is left on the tree. it has a distenct flovar and smell. i have a problem with birds pecking on it. does this type of lemon only grow in my area.. it seems like it only grows in southern climates.
