Any suggestions on how to keep flies off our patio without using chemicals?
Question:We have tons of them out there! I've heard people say to put a glass of water outside, but we have a dog bowl of water out there and it doesn't seem to work. HELP!

Ok this is REALLY weird but it works! Don't ask me why!
When visiting in Mexico we saw these all over the place! Follow direction precisly or it may not work!
Suspend a CLEAR PLATIC bag full of water (about a cup of water) from the ceiling of your patio where you have the problem! Watch the flys! They will not acumulate in that area anymore! Now if they are still present and move to another area, place another bag over there! If you have outdoor dining, place a bag over it, ect! You can find these in meat shops, markets and even in the cabana's in Mexico and it's amazing! No flys!
Plant some mint in pots around patio,no more flies..Liz.
use citronella candles or incense stick.
Do you know what kind of flies? Depending on the fly the treatments could be different.
I've heard to hang a plastic bag of water where you want to keep them away from. Not sure it works but it's worth a try. When we bought this house there was a bag of water hanging from the portch. Didn't know why till later. Have also seen bags of water hanging at the intrance of bars.
