Question:ok, so there are mice in the attic (there's no way for them to come down from there), but i can hear them squeaking and they're sooooo annoying! what do you think we should do?

There is a product called Havoc, sold at garden and farm supply stores. It is a poison, but when the mice eat it, they go searching for water (which means out of your attic). It comes in little packages. Just toss a few of those in your attic, and you will be critter-free!

Yes, D-Con ( mouse poison pellets) or mouse traps. Just make sure to check on them or you will have stinky dying mouse in the attic.

Probably the overall best solution would be to place 5 to 7 mouse traps in strategic locations. Otherwise, talk to a pest control company and see what they have to say.
Yuck. I wouldn't use poison because then they die somewhere and they stink to high heaven. Have you ever smelled a rotting mouse? ewww! Are you sure they are mice and not squirrels? If they are mice I would get some of those glue traps,(they get stuck in there and can't get out) then you can just go up and throw them out. Or just a regular mouse trap with peanut butter on it will catch them too. But then of course you will need to remove them from the trap. once again ewwww! If you don't want to do any of those things you could call an exterminator but I'm not sure what they would do other than setting out poison, then you would still have the odor. Good luck.
If you put poison up there they will die in your walls or attic and you will smell them for a longg time. Traps are best.
