Are there any home methods to kill ants?
Question:I know hot water is one, put things like peppered water or lemon juice... do they hate these.

stamp on them.any of the above things work but is only temp...its that time of year again ...do the obvious as well though dont leave food out to tempt them empty any bins that you might have indoors.the best one i have found is the hot water...thing is though they seem to know what your about to do because when i go back with the kettle they have all gone ;0(
take oatmeal and place down for them to eat, sounds awfull but it kills them swells them up , dont add water just dry instant oatmeal.
IF you ever find a successful way of eradicating ants you will be a millionaire is a years time. Nothing I have ever tried works with any success.
ants wont cross a white line so chalk round where they are getting in

Spray polish is good for a quick fix. I also hate the little boggers as well.
First push all your furniture into the middle of the room. Spray turpentine on all the drapes, beds, and all along the floor where it meets the wall. Then leave the house (Fumes). From your backyard toss a lit gas can with an oily rag threw your biggest window. The ants should all be dead within 45 minutes.
Jays fluid or bleach both watered down.
If you want to permenantly get rid of ants in your house, I used this method.
If you see an ant carrying nothing or food, then swat it.
If it is carrying the carcass of a swatted ant, let it leave.
Everytime they go home with a dead colleague they pass the message on chemically to other ants and they soon realize it is a dangerous place to go.
It doesnt take too long.
1. Obtain wooden block 8 inches x 4 inches x 3inches deep. 2. obtain small hammer or mallet. 3. Place ant on wooden block and hit with mallet/hammer.
