My house has a lot of spiders in the basement, what can i use to get rid of them?

first try any commercial killer (like raid) dont use generic stuff or might not work ; but if it still doesnt call a pro.

Spiders are beneficial, they eat bugs that are vectors, I would leave them alone.
There is a product out there called Home Defense.
Have you tried that?

once a month spray the perimeter and your good to go...
kills all insects, not just spiders...
My friend has a bug business he says sprays dont work unless you spray directly on them.You could tent the place but thats expensive. Glue boards are your best bet. They walk on them they get stuck. GOODLUCK
spiders do not drag their body's like other insects, so a spray would be ineffective. raid or something like that is only a contact killer it has no residual effect or long lasting in other words. a product called delta dust is however effective all you have to get a gutter brush depending on the height of your roof and brush the corners all around your basement this product will kill b/c its a de-hydrate it dries them up but the bad news is being a former pest control tech i can tell you that spiders are very hard to get rid of . dusting along the roof is the best thing just be diligent...
