Wood
Yes (I like the ones that curl up best!)
They eat wood. I dont think there are different types but if you have woodlice in your home get rid and quick. My neighbour found it in his dinning room floor 2 months ago. It had spread into the skirting boards and I help him to replace the whole lot. My brother owns a timber yard and it was his advice we took. He knows all about anything to do with timber. Good luck.
I dont know what they eat but I have seen two types and one type are bigger and are greyish in colour and they come out of compost heaps. The other type is smaller and black and roam about gardens and they are called pillbugs.
