Eco buld sizes?

Question:Why dont the new energy saving bulbs fit in my lamps, or other light holders. Like the fridge, over the stove, in bathroom ect...

Answers:
If you are referring to compact flourescents lightbulbs (CFL's), they fit my hood and bathroom sockets.

In general, those fixtures were designed before the popularity of CFL's so that is why they don't fit. CFL's have trouble getting a small as incandescent bulbs. There is a different (more expensive) type of bulb called LED's. LED's use much less energy as CFL's, last much longer but cost much more. They've just gotten LED's so they can shine white or yellow light so they are kind of new to the market.

Also, CFL's life be reduced if you keep it in a damp environment like a bathroom, a hot environment like over a range, or a cold environment like inside a refrigerator.
