Do jasmine plants do well in acidic soil, like around pine trees.?

Question:

Answers:
I live just N of Houston. I have Pines and Oaks. I also have three yellow jasmines. And two Carolina ( Confiderate ) jasmines and all do well. Too well always cutting back so they don't take over.

I live in East Texas and Pine Trees to me are the Devil. They suck so much nutrients and water from the soil that if you have too many of them you can't even grow a decent lawn. So if i were you , I wouldn't plant anything real close to a pine tree. I'm not sure about Jasmine plants and acidic soil. However, you could research it on Wikipedia.com.
