How do you clean a dirty greasy garage floor?
Question:Just dont know how to start going about it or even what kind of stuff to use.
Answers:
Behr cleaner for basement and concrete, worked great
broom
grease lightening
water
and scrub.
or go to ace hardware and rent a pressure washer!
Go to Lowes or Home Depot, the carry acid based cleaners made for cleaning concrete, it would be cheaper than renting a pressure washer. With that cleaner all you would have to do is pour it on wait and rinse.
Bleach ,degreeser & oven cleaner
The greased lightning was a good choice, I prefer a cleaner you can get at auto stores or even Wall-Mart, purple stuff cuts grease really well, I mix it strong and use a pump up sprayer to coat the floor, let sit for about 10 min and give it a good scrubbing, rinse and let dry, for a final touch you could use floor dry, mechanics oil dry, spread it out and sweep it back and forth, will pull out all the oil. hope this helps.
Simple Green. You can buy it at almost any store. Just spray it on, let it sit for a few minutes, give it a bit of scrubbing with either a broom or brush, hose it away. It's bio degradable so it won't hurt plants, grass or the environment.
