Can I leave a deep freezer outside?

yes...in fact we had ours out in the open..it gets up to 99 in th summer and down to -45 in the winter.if you want it to last longer than five years like ours then build something around it with a shed roof to keep it out of the weather...but ours did FINE!!

Ours is out in the carport, two sides exposed to the elements. Nothing has happened to it so far.
I would only do this if the freezer was in constant shade under a permanent cover; like a porch. Otherwise you are gonna have one HUGE electric bill. There is also the chance of water getting into the motor and causing it to short circuit if you run it outdoors and uncovered.
Yes. You should have some type of protection for it.
