I have these little tiny red spiders outside in my dirt, does anyone know what they are?

Question:And what to do to get rid of them?

Answers:
they are red spider mites.

These mites can hurt the plants they are under by attatching to their roots, but to my knowledge pose no threat to you.

The mites do not like humid conditions so to get rid of them be sure to mist the plant regularly, maybe adding some insecticidal soap into the mist.

i hope this helps

Are you sure they're spiders and not mites?
They are not spider but CHIGGERS! Kill them as best you can as they will enter a pore in the skin and cause a welt that itches to no end- to kill it while in the skin - fingernail polish the welt thereby suffocating the chigger by such. Leave the polish on for several days.
