Are there any lakes you can swim in near Klamath Falls?

Question:We are looking to buy in the area and want to live on a lake where the kids can swim from the dock or near a swimming beach with in a reasonable commute to Kfalls. Thanks!

I thought the answer to this question would be pretty obvious--there were falls, there were lakes, surely there was swimming all over the place, right?

No, not right at all. I've looked all over the place and though there is windsurfing and boating, I haven't found a single reference to a beach where people swim. Perhaps a realtor in the area will be able to tell you about some local secret place that the web hasn't found out about yet.

Good luck--it does look like a remarkable area.
