How do I get rid of spiders?
Question:I have spiders in my basement apartment. Let me re-phrase this... I'm a hippie. Do no harm unto others unless they harm you. Right now they are an annoyance. I don't want to kill them, but I want them out. Unfortunately, I feel that the only way is to kill them. I don't want to use chemicals to do so, any suggestions?

I have the same problem in my basement apartment and don't want to use chemicals because of my pets. I just vacuummed really well. I got all of the corners and the ceiling really well. I just sucked all of the webs and each individual spider up with the hose. Spiders like humid conditions so I got a dehumidifier. That helped a lot. They don't like living down there so much anymore. They also like dark places so try and let a lot of light in (if you have windows). The last thing that helped was the fact that I have three cats. They'll alert me to a spider on the ceiling because they want to get it and can't. As for ones on the floor, they play with them until they die.

we use the sticky traps that you can get at walmart (found by the fly swats and other bug sprays)...they are mainly for mice but the spiders walk across them and stick also...plus with no chemical you do not have to worry about kids or pets...but do be care to put them where your kids or pets can not step on them as they are SUPER sticky...good luck!
