I have a question about vinyl liners in pools?

Question:I have an inground pool with a vinyl liner. Somehow there is water underneath the liner. I have a pump that I can slide down to pump it out, but I dont know how to get underneath the liner. Can someone tell me how to remove some of the liner at the top side so that I can do this?

Answers:
Call a professional.

Sorry, I normally don't recommend this but you run the risk of never getting the liner back in shape if you try to do this yourself. Pulling the liner loose will cause problems later down the road as you won't be able to get it back in most of the time, and even if you do it will pull itself back out.

Liners are undersized a little bit so that they stretch with the weight of the water on them. While a professional may use a different type of vacuum/pump system, it's not something a homeowner has access to. So to save future expense, have the professionals do it now.
