Why does my hot tub have milky white water in it and what can i do about it?

A hot tub is a unique situation. They are an extremely small system that can get out of whack with just a single bather in the water.
The best thing is to do a test on the water to determine what the water chemistry is. If it's off you could have calcium precipitation that won't clear up unless you drain it or leave the filter running for a couple weeks. Sometimes it will go milky white because of bacterial build up, total dissolve solids build up, or any number of other causes that can be treated by shocking the water.
Unfortunately not knowing the water chemistry these are all just educated guesses.
maybe thats the bubbles from the jet if not i don't know why unless somehow some soap got in there

have you recently had any copper plumbing done? Usually the flux that is used to solder fittings together will sometimes take a while to flush out completely. Coming out of your spout it will look milky somewhat. Or you can have your water heater checked out to have it descaled. To remove build up inside your actual tank. Another factor is the quality of your water. Is it soft or hard? Can't pin point this one for you but I hope the above mentioned make some sense about the mysterious milky water. Good luck
I think you should just drain it and start over. Its good to do about every three months. Then stay on top of the chemicals.
