How do i remove indentation marks in carpets from heavy furniture legs?

Question:

Answers:
1. Carefully separate the carpet pile and at the same time lift it

2. Lightly dampen that area and keeping the pile lifted dry the carpet with a hairdryer, not too hot and keep it moving.

These two steps my have to be repeated a few times. But there could be a problem with the underlay, as this will also have been compressed and may well not return to normal. If the underlay stays compressed you need to lift the carpet and cut out the flattened section of underlay and replace it.

Good luck.

In my experience you can't, However with a good suction hoover, over time, the lines and dents will fade.
try leaving an ice cube in the mark to melt, that should work.
Ruffle the strands vigorously and often (daily, preferably) by hand or with a stiff brush.

Spritz the indentation with a little warm water and dry with a hair dryer. Make sure to move the dryer around to keep from letting one spot get too hot.

Avoid walking on the area.
Put ice cubes on the dents. When the carpet dries, hoover the pile upwards (with the hoover head off, just use the tube)
Apparently, if you put ice cubes in the indentations, let them melt, and let the area dry, then hoover, the indentations will disappear. Have never tried it myself as I am not houseproud and don't move my furniture!
Try placing a larger, heavier object over the indent and leave it for a long period of time.Otherwise try a professional cleaning.Success will depend on the type of carpeting and underlayment.
Get a wire brust and gently brust the indentations in the oposite direction this should make the pile of the carpet come back to life. Good luck.
I have heard that ice cubes do the trick. However, don't brush the carpet, you can damage the fibres in it and make the indents look a lot worse!
First get a large snowman........
Ice cubes left in the indentations to melt work wonders
