Hang an old music CD up where they are gathering and it will scare them away. Use a piece of fishing line or small string. Done this at two different houses and it works great.

Believe it or not...I had a problem with birds hitting into a window that somewhat tinted or mirrored and ended up getting a plastic owl (~ 14" tall and ~ $10 on web)...put it up where they were hitting and that was that...good luck!
Birds do not like sounds ,like yelling or banging a pan if you still are bothered why not try hanging balloons in trees this they don't like this .
You can buy plastic owls or hawks at Lowes or Home Depot. Mount them where the birds can see them.
