Where are all the houseflies coming from?
Question:I have a over several at a time, of houseflies appearing in my home from nowhere, i dont understand where they are coming from, as i havent been leaving windows or doors open...
the only thing i can think of is the small plastic vent on the top of the window and the drain in the sink. I recently cleaned my home, so i theres no sugar/dirt to be attracted to.
Answers:
Houseflies come from maggots, maggots come from eggs laid by houseflies.
There is something dead and rotting or animal droppings either in or near your kitchen.
Each fly will lay hundreds of eggs and it takes about 8 weeks from egg to maggot to fly and of course warm weather.
you must have maggots somewere
Flies sneak in when a door is opened, if only for a minute. If your garbage can is near your back door, move it. Make sure the lids on your garbage cans are on securely. If you see a lot of flies buzzing around your garbage can(s) spray inside & out with Raid or something like it.
