Has anyone ever seen a front door that was situated in the middle of a living room?

Question:I am building a house and my plan calls for the front entrance to be in the center of the living room. I have never seen this in a home. What should I do? How inconvienent will this be?

i think it will be great as long as you also incorperate a foyer area into your plan..some kind of tile..or you will ruin your carpet...i have seen this before and it is very nice indeed.but friends and family always use the back door anyway..

Houses in India are usually built this way with no foyer. I do not think it will be inconvenient at all. Pro is that the guests go straight to the living room.
