Whats The Best Way To Get Rid Of Flys From My Flat ??
Question:over the last couple of days i have noticed agrowing number of flys in my flat, tonight i have killed about 40 flys, and its getting more each day. I have checked the flat for any sign's of infestasion, but i cant see any, they seem to pop out of nowhere. They are not the normal size, they are the size of a small bee. I'm going through a can of raid a day.
Any Ideas would be great

Sounds as though something has died!
You may a have a rat or a mouse dead under the floor. Have you checked to see if your neighbours above or below you are having the same problem?
Could be one of them has corked it!
Call an exterminator. Make sure that you are shutting windows and doors.
Empty the trash and take a bath.
Try hanging bag's of water around your house. Some people say it's an old wives tale, but it really works, even outside. I hang them around the porch of my ranch house.
Have you seen your dog in the past 10 days?
Buy some spiders. They will make webs and catch the flies and your flat will look lovely again.
If you have air conditioning turn it on high - that should kill most of them. But as far as finding out why you have them an exterminator will do an estimate for you- then maybe you can find the source.
sounds like you need to call pest control you may have a nest somewhere
the australians hang corks around their hats to swat flys away.
find loads of australians and get them to stand in your flat.
put a couple of onions on the window seal of any open window,this acts as a brilliant deterrent

making sure there isn't any rubbish lying around would be a start. Have you tried thoughts fly sticky paper that you leave out and the fly stick to them then you throw it away or there is a plant that eats them(sounds cruel I know) Called a Venus Fly Trap when the fly goes near the plant... it opens its mouth and grabs the fly.. hope this helps you and you have success in getting rid of the flies good luck!
You may have had something die such as a mouse. To keep the fly's off tables, try wiping them with vinegar It dose not smell but it keeps the flys from landing on the table. I was taught this while I was in the army.
Using as much lemon juice when cleaning.And citrus sprays,citrus candles,citrus fresheners.For some reason flies and some other insects cant stand the lemon scent/zest/.they wont go near it so a good idea to put lemon air fresheners at your windows/sills,and at night burn lemon fragrances candles,and spray lemon air fresheners,anytime.When washing floors or cleaning surfaces or any other excuse or cleaning,use lemon fragrance items.Zoflora have a room fragrance spray(non aerosol)its great, i use it for same reason though i don't get flies much at all,maybe that's why! and i live on the backs of farmers Fields.Tust me this has always worked for me,in fact i noticed a difference straight away,but give it a few days cause you have got quite a few,by hte sounds of it .Let me know cause this was somthing i found out for myself,and not through another source.
Either put a sh*te on your windowsill or buy a chameleon.

Go to Maplins and buy yourself and electronic fly zapper...hand held,looks like a tennis racket and one swoop of the electricity and flys are gone :o) they are made by the company nikkai.
There seems to be an invasion of flies this year, keep spraying.
