Out of the 50 states, which has the most bugs/insects?
Question:i say florida, but others differ; just curious

I read somewhere that they tested the soil in many states. The test was done by digging up 1 sq. yard of soil. They said Florida had...wait for it...are you ready?..20 million insects (including microscopic ones) per square yard, almost twice as many as anywhere else. So I would say they probably have more flying insects too.
Washington DC has a filthy roach infestation that won't abate until 2008.

I would say the southern states, because the water and warmer climate.. but thats just a guess!

Texas, because there are lots of Bushes there.
I heard Florida. I've never been there myself, but everyone I know that has been there has said that before. They not only have the most bugs, but the biggest also!

i would have to florida i am from there and only do they have alot of them but they are the biggest i am in texas now and they have hardly have any!
I would bet Louisiana-
Personally I think Ft. Stewart GA, has the worst, the state bird is a Miskito. Those things can actually pick you up and all you away lol... All So around FL Swamps are real bad. But here in Good Ol Carolina things are just perfect!

It's hot and humid ALL year with no annual frost to cause a die-back (or even mass hibernation). Ants (especially fire ants that bite and sugar ants that are miniscule but get into EVERYthing), termites, cockroaches, wasps, crickets, fleas, mosquitoes, centipedes, you name it! Oh, and some really lovely critters called cane spiders that will actually leap off of foliage and onto you for a ride and a snack. Fun!
I would vote for Florida. I have lived there, and in Texas as well. Florida roaches could make small pets.. they fly and at night after it rains it used to look like the whole sidewalk was moving. Everywhere you look there is some strange looking creature- I saw a spider that was a big as my open hand and the thing's web was over 6 feet tall. Someone told me they can catch small birds in those webs. I like bugs but I bet some people would not enjoy it so much.
