Stoop sale yet no stoop?

Question:I have so much stuff that I need to get rid of I was wondering if It was Ok in NYC (manhattan) to have a stoop sale. I live across the street from the precint. I was wondering if I could get into trouble. Any idea of the law on this?

Why don't you just go over and ask them what the policy regarding garage sales, tag sales, or stoop sales is? In our city, they have a packet they give you outlining what you can and cannot do. It includes hours, what items cannot be sold, where you can't put signs, etc.
