Best bedsheet material for summer?
Question:My wife came home with cotton sheets for the bed, but I'm thinking that's just way too hot for summer. I am always feeling like it's too hot for me to sleep, even with the air conditioning and a fan (we live in Texas) and in the summer it is unbearable.
What bedsheet material absorbs the least amount of heat? I want sheets that feel coolest to the touch.
Thanks!
Answers:
Cotton has always been the standard and really isn't bad in the summer, some other materials get sticky,
I use jersey myself I find more comfortable.
Cotton is usually the best.
Satin Sheets! Smooth, cool, and will probably make things "hot" in bed, if ya catch my drift.
I use those t-shirt material sheets, and I love them! But I agree with the satin sheets too ;)
polyester. it doesn't breath so you can sweat your @ss off and loose a few pounds, unless you don't need to loose weight. In that case, use cotton sheets.
Thin cotton would be the best. Silk and satin can tangle and stick to your skin in the heat, and velvet is simply out of the question. However, some nice, soft, thin Egyptian cotton is perfect.
The highest thread count cotton sheets you can afford. The higher the count, the softer and smoother they are! Nothing feels cooler in summer than cotton!
What I pefer is, a high thread count(250-350) Percale sheet set! It is very smooth, plus it absorbs moisture like a spounge. Good luck!
sorry, it's cotton
